3D Animator – Medical Illustration (US Remote)
Join a leading medical illustration company as a 3D Character Animator, responsible for creating engaging and accurate character animations for educational and scientific content. This project involves developing 3–6 minutes of animation using a client-supplied rig, with a focus on anatomical accuracy and clear visual storytelling. The role is fully remote but requires candidates to be based in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Animate 3D characters for medical and scientific visualizations, ensuring anatomical precision and clarity.
- Work with a provided rig to produce 3–6 minutes of high-quality animation.
- Collaborate with medical illustrators and project leads to interpret storyboards and feedback.
- Deliver animation assets in accordance with project timelines and technical specifications.
- Ensure all animations meet the required standards for educational and scientific accuracy.
- Communicate progress and address revisions efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills And Requirements
- Proven experience in 3D character animation, preferably within medical, scientific, or educational sectors.
- Proficiency with industry-standard 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max).
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and movement.
- Ability to work with pre-rigged characters and adapt to client-supplied assets.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Must be located within the United States.
- Availability to meet project deadlines and respond to feedback promptly.
