After-Hours Telephonic Triage Nurse (Pacific or Mountain Time Only)
Important: This is a Pacific Time (PT) / Mountain Time (MT) based after-hours role. We are unable to accommodate other time zones for this role. Position Overview Occupational Health Solutions is seeking a dependable and experienced after-hours Telephonic Triage Nurse to support our occupational health clients outside of standard business hours. This role is ideal for a nurse looking for flexible, low-volume work that can be performed remotely. Call volume is typically infrequent, allowing for extended downtime between calls, while still requiring responsiveness and sound clinical judgment when needed. Key Responsibilities · Provide telephonic triage and clinical guidance to employees experiencing work-related injuries or health concerns · Assess symptoms and determine appropriate level of care using established protocols · Deliver clear, calm, and professional communication during after-hours calls · Document all interactions accurately and in a timely manner · Escalate urgent or complex cases as appropriate Schedule & Work Environment · 100% remote — no travel required · After-hours coverage (Pacific Time/Mountain Time scheduling required: evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays as needed). Weekdays 5 pm to 8 am; 24 hours weekend/holidays · On-call structure with low call frequency · Ideal for nurses seeking supplemental income or flexible scheduling Qualifications · Must be able to work consistently within Pacific Time (PT) or Mountain Time (MT) scheduling windows · Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact preferred) · Minimum 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience (ER, urgent care, occupational health, or triage strongly preferred) · Prior telephonic triage or nurse advice line experience is a plus · Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills · Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision · Proficiency with electronic documentation systems
Compensation
Weekly after hours call compensation $1000 per week.
