This role is an exciting opportunity to build a new product from the ground up within Optum Insight’s Innovation portfolio. Prior authorization can be the source of healthcare friction and delays, but advances in generative AI present the potential for transformative solutions that dramatically reduce the time and effort involved. The AI Product Owner, Digital Prior Authorization role will work closely with other product team members to partner with engineering to build, launch, and iterate AI-enabled products to be launched in 2025 that automate prior authorization approvals for payers. Primary Responsibilities: Product Vision and Strategy: Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle-from ideation through launch and post-launch optimization-by aligning with business goals and the product roadmap, addressing customer needs, and collaborating with stakeholders Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog. Ensure that the development team has a clear understanding of the requirements and priorities User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Write clear and concise user stories/defects and acceptance criteria. Ensure that user stories and defects are well-defined and ready for development Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, and development teams, to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations Sprint Planning and Review: Participate in sprint planning meetings to help the team understand the priorities and goals for each sprint.
