- We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Functional Consultant who will
be partner with our Finance and Accounting teams during a major S/4 upgrade/implementation program. This role is not a hands‑on configuration role—the primary SI partner will perform configuration and build.
- Instead, this consultant will act as a design advisor and functional guardian, ensuring
the solution meets business needs, aligns with best practices, and fits our end‑to‑end Finance processes. The consultant will focus on solution design review, functional documentation, integration validation, and user testing.Internal What will you do: 1. Solution Design Support
- Participate in Fit/Gap sessions led by the System Integrator; ensure business
requirements are accurately captured.
- Review SI‑proposed solution designs, configuration approaches, process flows, and
functional specifications.
- Provide expert feedback on S/4 functionality across:
o FI: GL, AP, AR, AA, Banking o CO: Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing o COPA/Margin Analysis: Account‑based COPA o Universal Journal and Financial Closing
- Ensure the design aligns with:
o Industry best practices o Company financial policies o S/4 simplification items and future‑ready capabilities 2. Functional Design & Documentation
- Support the creation or refinement of Business Requirements Documents, Functional
Design Documents, and Process Maps.
- Validate SI-created documents, identifying gaps, risks, or impact areas.
- Support integration design across MM, SD, PP, and supply chain finance flows.
3. Testing & Quality Assurance
- Develop test scenarios, scripts, and expected results for UAT and integration testing.
- Support execution of:
o User Acceptance Testing (UAT) o Integration Testing o Regression Testing
- Validate test results, troubleshoot issues, and work with SI to drive resolution.
- Assist in defining acceptance criteria, cutover activities, and readiness checkpoints.
4. Finance Business Partnering
- Act as the bridge between:
o Finance & Accounting SMEs o System Integrator technical and functional teams o IT program leadership
- Translate business needs into SAP‑aligned requirements.

o Margin Analysis o Universal Allocation o Fiori apps for Finance o Embedded Analytics 5. Support Change, Training, and Hypercare
- Assist with training materials and end‑user education.
- Support defect triage, sign-offs, and hypercare during go‑live stabilization.
- Ensure smooth transition of knowledge to Finance users and internal support team
On your first day, we'll expect you to have: Functional Experience
- 8+ years experience in SAP Finance/Controlling.
- Strong S/4HANA Finance knowledge across FI, CO, and COPA/Margin Analysis.
- Experience with Finance transformation programs or S/4 upgrades where an SI
handled configuration.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end processes including:
o Order to Cash o Source to Pay (Required) o Record to Report o Product Costing & Inventory Valuation Design & Testing Skills
- Ability to challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and guide SI toward better solutions.
- Strong ability to develop test scenarios and lead UAT cycles.
- Skilled at reviewing configuration and technical specs—even without configuring

We’d Be Excited If You Also Have
- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.
- Experience in manufacturing or semiconductor industries.
- Familiarity with advanced financial closing tools, group reporting, or Central Finance.
- Knowledge of automation and analytics (e.g., Python, RPA, Copilot for Finance) is a
plus.
- Excellent communicator across Finance, IT, and SI teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading discussions.
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
