Il examine les approches religieuses, historiques, culturelles, autochtones, philosophiques et éthiques relatives aux substances et aux expériences psychédéliques. Les étudiants explorent la manière dont les psychédéliques ont façonné les pratiques rituelles, la production de sens religieux, ainsi que les interprétations de la conscience, de la guérison et de la transformation. La recherche scientifique contemporaine est abordée avec la perspective plus large des contextes sociaux, politiques et spirituels plutôt qu’à travers des cadres cliniques. La préférence sera donné à un.e candidat.e dont les propres intérêts de recherche s'inscrivent dans le domaine des dimensions socioculturelles et spirituelles des études psychédéliques, et qui dispose de travaux de recherche et de publications universitaires pertinents.
