Business Development Sales Leader

The Business Development Sales Professional is responsible for new account development in existing or new markets. Typically, does not have a base business where they are responsible for the retention or expansion of business at existing customers General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for new account development within an established geographic territory/product line.
  • Connect, contact, and engage new potential clients and prospects.
  • Develop a strong and consistent pipeline of new business.
  • Analyze customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
  • Innovates and creates sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services, and customers
  • Identify and implement efficiency opportunities such as distributor dashboards, etc.

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Lead Tier‑1 & Prime Customer Engagement: Own relationships with key customers (Primes and Tier‑1 Suppliers) to drive early design-in and secure BLDC motor, and sensor sourcing opportunities. Expand Customer Base in key market segments: Partner closely with sales, engineering, and product management teams to prospect and win emerging high-growth customer opportunities, accelerating penetration into next-gen defense and autonomous platforms. Convert Core Pipeline into Wins: Drive priority opportunities from quote to close by aligning customer needs with differentiated BLDC motor as well as sensor and electrical protection solutions. Champion Next-Gen Solution Positioning: Translate customer insights into demand for next generation architectures while reinforcing differentiation via performance and supply chain advantages. #LI-JL1 #LI-Remote Base Salary Range: $97,040.00 - $133,430.00 At Sensata, our employees are the key to our success and growth.
