Data Engineer (GCP) - Remote PT
We are looking for a Senior Consultant – Data Platform Engineer with experience in cloud environments and a strong focus on data modelling, to help build and develop modern data platforms (Data Lake / Lakehouse / DWH). This role will play an active part in defining architectures, developing pipelines and adopting best practices in data engineering, contributing to robust and scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
Develop and evolve cloud-based data platforms (Data Lake, Lakehouse, DWH) Actively participate in data modelling Build and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines Work with storage systems and analytical tools Collaborate on CI/CD processes and deployment automation Support the implementation of infrastructure as code Ensure development best practices and quality Explore and adopt new technologies within the data ecosystem Technical Requirements Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.), with a focus on: Storage Data Lake / Lakehouse / Data Warehouse Solid experience in data modelling (very important) Knowledge of dbt is an advantage Knowledge of Python Experience or familiarity with Terraform Knowledge of CI/CD (preferably GitLab, GitHub or Jenkins) Understanding of workflow orchestration concepts IMPORTANT: This opportunity is exclusively open to professionals who are already based in Portugal and with the Permit VISA for work in Portugal To help us manage applications efficiently, please contact me via LinkedIn private message only if you are currently residing in Portugal, and include your updated CV.
