Role Description We are hiring an experienced bilingual Patient Intake Coordinator to manage patient intake, scheduling, and insurance verification in a structured, fast-paced remote environment. This role is best suited for candidates who have previously worked in a medical or mental health setting and are comfortable handling high call volume, insurance workflows, and patient coordination independently. Fully remote. Florida-based candidates only.

  • Manage a high volume of inbound calls and emails (50+ patient interactions per day)
  • Conduct patient intakes and accurately document information in the EHR
  • Schedule patients based on clinician availability, specialty, and insurance participation
  • Verify insurance eligibility and explain benefits, copays, and next steps clearly
  • Maintain accurate schedules and documentation
  • Coordinate with clinicians, billing, and administrative staff to resolve issues efficiently

Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office, behavioral health practice, or healthcare administrative role
  • Direct experience verifying insurance benefits and explaining coverage to patients
  • Experience using EHR systems and managing appointment scheduling
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Reliable home office with high-speed internet
  • Must pass Level 2 background check
  • Must reside in Florida

Requirements

  • Behavioral health or psychotherapy practice experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with insurance workflows (eligibility, benefits, authorizations) (preferred)
  • Experience with Google Workspace, scheduling systems, or Zendesk (preferred)
