Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Terminal (Fixed Term) Job Profile: Lecturer Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Instruction Manager of the Information School (iSchool), teach LIS 629 Multicultural Literature and Resources for Children and Youth, a 3 credit course at 33.4% time for the fall semester of the 2026-27 academic year in an asynchronous online environment. The course enrollment capacity is 30 undergraduate students. Key Job Responsibilities: Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance Department: ​ College of Letters & Science, Information School (iSchool) Compensation: ​ The minimum full-time equivalent (FTE) salary is $50,115. This is a part-time position at a 33.4% appointment, resulting in a base total of $8,411.79. Actual pay will be determined by your qualifications, appointment percentage, and prior higher education teaching experience. Required Qualifications: Teach up to 30 graduate students LIS 629: Multicultural Literature and Resources for Children and Youth, part time at 33.4% time from September 2 - December 17, 2026 in an asynchronous online environment. Update or prepare a syllabus in consultation with iSchool staff Create asynchronous video lectures and other online instruction Create or update course materials as needed, in consultation with iSchool staff Provide timely feedback and grading of assignments, projects, and assessments Support students via synchronous office hours and communications such as email

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching at the graduate level Prior teaching experience in online formats Education Minimum of a Master's degree in Information Studies or related field required.
