About The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Video Editor & Motion Designer to join Zillow’s Brand Story & Creative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping Zillow’s visual storytelling by creating compelling motion graphics and edited videos that support various brand campaigns, internal communications, product storytelling, and social content. You will work closely with writers, designers, producers, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate creative briefs into high-quality visual assets. The role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring brand consistency, and maintaining high standards of quality. Additionally, you will support pre-production planning, including visual planning and shot-list development, and provide on-set production support as needed. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from a location of your choice within the United States, providing a balanced environment to foster creativity and professional growth.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in video editing and motion design within an agency, in-house creative team, or production environment
• Strong portfolio demonstrating motion graphics, animation, video editing, and storytelling craft
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Experience with motion systems, typography animation, and brand-driven design
• Understanding of video production processes from pre-production through post-production
• Strong visual judgment, attention to detail, and high standards for quality and brand consistency
• Highly organized with effective project management skills and file management practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Design, Animation, Communications, or a related field (preferred)
• Experience supporting production on set and familiarity with scalable brand or motion systems (a plus)
• Interest in emerging storytelling formats and trends (a plus)

Responsibilities

• Create and execute motion graphics, animations, and branded visual systems across various campaigns, social media content, internal communications, and events
• Edit video content with strong pacing, rhythm, and narrative clarity to produce polished, on-brand storytelling
• Translate creative briefs and art direction into high-quality deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Manage versioning, localization, and final asset delivery while ensuring technical specifications and quality standards are met
• Support pre-production planning, including visual planning and shot-list development
• Provide on-set production support as needed to ensure seamless execution of video projects
• Maintain brand consistency by applying Zillow’s visual guidelines across all motion and video outputs
• Improve and scale motion templates, graphic systems, and post-production workflows for greater efficiency
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively, communicating clearly about scope, revisions, and timelines
