Private Tutor and College Counselor
About IvyWay. IvyWay is an online education platform connecting students with tutors, college mentors, counselors, and virtual campus tour guides. We are onboarding providers who can support students through basic subject tutoring, test prep, college counseling, foreign language tutoring, and college life guidance. This is a flexible remote contractor role where providers set their own availability and take sessions based on student demand. Pay IvyWay offers fixed pay by service type. Basic subject tutoring pays $48/hr, college counseling pays $50/hr, test prep tutoring pays $70/hr, and virtual campus tours pay $75/hr. Providers are paid for completed approved sessions and may offer more than one service type if qualified.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include attending scheduled online sessions, helping students understand academic material, supporting test preparation or college planning when qualified, providing realistic college insight when applicable, keeping availability updated, communicating professionally, and following IvyWay’s provider policies. Providers should be reliable, punctual, and able to explain information clearly.
Qualifications
College students are preferred, but not required. College graduates, tutors, educators, counselors, and qualified academic mentors may also apply. Applicants should have strong communication skills, a reliable internet connection, and a strong background in the subjects or services they want to offer.
