Job Description

The Program Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting customer programs through the daily execution of production and engineering development programs. This position provides financial support to Program Managers and Finance Leadership, focusing on program cost analysis, cost estimating, cash flow monitoring, gross margin analysis, and variance analysis/reporting.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate revenue recognition, invoicing, cost, funding, gross margins, cash flow, and programmatic risks on a timely basis. Monitor costs weekly to ensure actuals remain within budget and are charged to the correct cost accounts. Support the generation of monthly financial status reports, monthly/quarterly Estimate at Completes (EACs), funding tracking reports, internal financial reporting, and customer invoicing. Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), time-phased budgets and schedules, Estimate to Completes (ETCs), analyses, and interpretations. Serve as a proposal pricing analyst. Provide cost analysis and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) support to Program Manager and Control Account Managers (CAMs). Prepare financial contracts data requirements list (CDRLs) for timely delivery. Interface with the program team to develop and update schedule requirements. Prepare internal program review presentations for management. Essential Skills Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting. 3+ years of experience in the defense industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and database analysis), Word, and PowerPoint. 2+ years of experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle, and familiarity with downloading data from ERP to Excel for analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience with government accounting processes. Propricer (proposal software) is preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proven team leadership, with excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Oracle ERP and COBRA experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position, offering a flexible schedule with 9-hour workdays and every other Friday off. The team is close-knit, with a strong culture and extensive experience. The role does not involve direct reports but involves collaboration with a team of five peers, each managing their program portfolios. The position supports two Department of Defense (DOD) programs. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chantilly, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $50.48/hr.
