[Remote] Account Executive - Tank Monitoring Job Details | Ametek, Inc.
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AMETEK is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Account Executive to join their growing team. This remote-based, outside sales role focuses on developing new business across Texas and the Gulf Coast region for SkyBitz Tank Monitoring, targeting the oil and gas industry.
Responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities in assigned region with a focus on expanding SkyBitz’s footprint in upstream and midstream oil & gas and downstream distribution sectors
- Develop a territory sales plan targeting distributors, producers, and service companies using a mix of outbound calling, networking, and onsite visits
- Lead the full sales cycle — from initial outreach and discovery to proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution
- Collaborate with marketing and inside sales teams to generate pipeline through digital campaigns, events, and lead generation programs
- Maintain accurate forecasts, account plans, and activity reports in Salesforce CRM
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, demonstrating how SkyBitz’s IoT platform delivers measurable ROI through improved asset visibility, delivery optimization, and reduced operational costs
- Represent SkyBitz at industry trade shows, regional conferences, and customer events
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of outside sales experience in B2B technology, telematics, industrial IoT, or equipment monitoring
- Demonstrated success in hunter-style sales roles — consistently exceeding quotas and building new territories
- Knowledge of oil & gas operations, fluid management, or related industrial supply chains
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills with executive-level buyers
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel up to 50% throughout the assigned territory
- Candidates must be based in the Houston Texas metro or Southern California area
- Experience with upstream oil & gas, or petroleum/chemical distribution
