[Remote] Accounts Receivable Specialist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ategrity Specialty Insurance Company is an innovative excess and surplus insurance company headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. They are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to assist with the testing and implementation of a new billing system, maintain cash application and accounts receivable processes, and ensure accurate tracking of receivables.
Responsibilities
- Enter cash received into billing system and track any variances
- Coordinate the collection process with internal partners as well as external agencies
- Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contact delinquent account holders to request payment
- Lead the implementation of our new billing system
- Improve tracking and reporting of accounts receivable balances
- Respond to customer requests for information such as invoice copy request, account balances, etc
- Support external audits as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Proven experience in billing, receivables and cash applications (1-3 years minimum)
- Considerable knowledge of cash applications and accounts receivable practices
- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- High degree of reliability and integrity
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Results-oriented self-starter with a drive to solve problems and implement improvements
- Travel 2-4 times a year for team meetings
- Direct experience in the insurance industry – a plus
