[Remote] AI Healthcare - Lead Data Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Mercy is seeking a Lead Data Analyst to transform how they use data for smarter decisions. This role combines business analysis with advanced analytics and emerging technologies to enable predictive and prescriptive decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Epic EHR data sources (Clarity, Caboodle, and related reporting environments) to build scalable analytics and AI-ready datasets that support clinical quality improvement, operational performance, and population health initiatives
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and align analytics solutions with business objectives
- Perform advanced analytics, including statistical modeling, forecasting, and AI-driven insights
- Leverage Databricks AI and Databricks Agent to automate workflows and enhance data-driven decision-making
- Develop Power BI dashboards and visualizations that communicate complex insights clearly and effectively
- Collaborate with engineering and data platform teams to ensure proper data access and governance
- Identify opportunities to apply emerging technologies for improved business outcomes
Skills
- Education: Degree(s) in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, technology or related field experience
- Experience: Five (5) years of relevant technical or business work experience or knowledge in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related technical field, with a proven ability to deliver insights that influence strategic decision-making
- Experience analyzing Epic healthcare data models and reporting environments, with the ability to translate clinical and operational data into actionable insights
- Strong experience in data analytics and business analysis
- Hands-on expertise with Databricks, including Databricks Agent and AI/ML capabilities
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and advanced analytics
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and actionable insights
- Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and experience applying them to real-world problems will be required
- Experience with cloud-based Azure data platform
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance and security practices
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business teams
