[Remote] Catastrophe Risk Analyst

Responsibilities

Evaluate complex datasets to identify patterns and trends associated with catastrophe risks Develop and refine catastrophe models to estimate potential losses from various disaster scenarios Generate detailed reports that communicate risk assessments to stakeholders Work closely with underwriters and actuaries to integrate risk analysis into policy pricing and portfolio management Stay ahead of the latest developments in climate science, construction technology, and regulatory changes that may affect risk profiles Assist in the creation of risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial impact Utilize advanced software and technologies to improve the accuracy of risk predictions Contribute to the development of emergency response plans for catastrophic events Skills Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Business Minimum of 6 months of related experience Evaluate complex datasets to identify patterns and trends associated with catastrophe risks Develop and refine catastrophe models to estimate potential losses from various disaster scenarios Generate detailed reports that communicate risk assessments to stakeholders Work closely with underwriters and actuaries to integrate risk analysis into policy pricing and portfolio management Stay ahead of the latest developments in climate science, construction technology, and regulatory changes that may affect risk profiles Assist in the creation of risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial impact Utilize advanced software and technologies to improve the accuracy of risk predictions Contribute to the development of emergency response plans for catastrophic events Risk Modeling Data Management Regulatory Compliance Statistical Analysis Effective Communication Interpersonal Skills Attention to Detail Decision Making Problem-Solving Continuous Learning Certified Catastrophe Risk Analyst (CCRA) Certified Specialist in Catastrophe Risk (CSCR) Certified Catastrophe Risk Management Professional (CCRMP)
