[Remote] CMMC Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Bayforce is seeking an experienced CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA) to support cybersecurity compliance and advisory engagements. This role will focus on helping clients achieve and maintain compliance with CMMC and related frameworks through assessments, remediation planning, and implementation of security controls.
Responsibilities
- Conduct CMMC readiness and certification assessments to identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps
- Design and implement security controls aligned with frameworks such as NIST, CMMC, ISO, and CIS
- Lead clients through remediation planning and execution of compliance initiatives
- Review and update security policies, procedures, and system architectures
- Produce detailed compliance reports and deliver executive-level presentations
- Manage multiple engagements, including timelines, stakeholders, and risk
- Stay current on evolving cyber threats, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement of consulting processes and overall client satisfaction
Skills
- CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA)
- Strong experience with risk management frameworks (NIST CSF/RMF, DFARS, NIST 800-171, CMMC)
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments (e.g., NIST 800-30, CIS RAM)
- Deep expertise in security architecture, network design, and threat mitigation
