[Remote] Copywriter, Editor, Content Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Blue Forest Digital is seeking a highly driven, systems-minded SEO/GEO Copywriter, Editor & Copy Engineer to join their team full-time. This role focuses on creating high-performing copy and engineering content structures that ensure clients excel in both Google Search and AI answer engines.
Responsibilities
- Draft search-optimized blog posts, complex content hubs, landing pages, and long-form resources engineered to rank in traditional search and surface inside AI chat responses
- Develop, test, and refine advanced AI prompt chains to handle deep research, build data-driven outlines, and generate highly structured first drafts at scale
- Serve as the final gatekeeper for all written content. You will edit human-written copy and polish AI-generated outputs to ensure they sound completely organic, highly authoritative, and on-brand
- Architect content frameworks (H-tags, text tables, list formats, and bulleted data points) specifically designed to satisfy both Google's crawlers and the information retrieval methods of LLMs
- Obsess over fact-checking and depth. You will turn low-value text into highly informative, linkable assets that stand out in a competitive search landscape
- Collaborate with our organic growth team to review content performance, analyzing search metrics to structurally update and engineer existing text for better visibility
Skills
- A background in SEO writing, content marketing, or digital journalism
- Demonstrated experience integrating AI tooling into a professional writing, auditing, or research workflow
- Strong understanding of keyword/entity optimization, search intent, and how search engines (and AI engines) scan text
- Flawless grasp of grammar, tone, and readability
- Hands-on experience using LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) for text manipulation, outlining, and rapid research scaling
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, project management platforms, and common SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMRush, or SurferSEO)
- High attention to detail, a proactive 'can-do' attitude, and the organizational chops to handle multiple daily deadlines in a fully remote environment
- Experience navigating WordPress to format and publish blog content
- Understanding of schema markup concepts and how structured data impacts visibility
- A personal portfolio or blog that showcases your ability to write on complex or technical topics
