[Remote] Creative Content Development Copywriter

Abacus Service Corporation is seeking a talented individual to join the Tennessee Department of Education as a Content Development Specialist. This remote position will focus on developing engaging educational content for K–2 supplemental science units, ensuring materials are user-friendly and compliant with accessibility standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of a cohesive design framework for K–2 supplemental science units
- Ensure materials are visually engaging, user-friendly, and optimized for use by districts, educators, and students
- Collaborate on the preparation of additional units
- Provide ongoing support in accessibility compliance and graphic design across related projects
Skills
- Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Suite: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Proficiency in Adobe Pro
- Awareness of State and Federal ADA Compliance Regulations
- Adherence to TDOE guidance on style and branding requirements
- Background or experience in branding, digital marketing, or graphic design
- Knowledge of InDesign and Canva
- Background in Science content for K-12 material
