[Remote] Data engineer- REMOTE-W2 only
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Steneral Consulting is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Data Engineering. The role involves supporting and enhancing software applications, resolving software issues, and collaborating with various teams to ensure technology standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance existing software applications and components in the Cotiviti product suite
- Analyze and resolve software issues from internal/external customers
- Document specifications, design, features, and operations prior to production rollout
- Collaborate with senior developers, offshore teams, business owners, and project management
- Ensure adherence to technology standards during system development
- Execute solution enhancements to improve software performance and availability
- Communicate technical and operational issues to engineering and business leadership
- Innovate and contribute to process and system improvements for efficiency
- Continuously learn and integrate new technologies into the product suite
- Mentor and support the development of other developers
- Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle with a focus on continuous improvement
- Complete special projects and additional duties as assigned
Skills
- BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong healthcare data experience
- Proficiency with large datasets and relational databases
- Experience with ETL processes
- Skilled in optimizing and tuning SQL/Oracle queries, stored procedures, and triggers
- Deep understanding of Object Oriented Analysis and Design
- Experience with MS Access
- Familiarity with scripting languages (VBScript, PowerShell)
- Experience with Java frameworks and .NET Framework
- Knowledge of enterprise scheduling tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to take the TORC test tonight
- Must have a LinkedIn profile
