[Remote] Data Scientist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence. As a Data Scientist, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to extract, analyze, and visualize data using Power BI, develop data models, and create interactive dashboards to provide actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and objectives
- Extract, clean, and preprocess data from various sources for analysis
- Develop predictive models, statistical analyses, and algorithms to solve complex business problems
- Build tools to automate data collection
- Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to support decision-making
- Conduct data exploration and visualization to identify trends and patterns
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in data analysis and Power BI
Skills
- 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree or 4 years w/an Associates
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, however an active DoD Secret Clearance is preferred
- Proficiency in data modeling, data transformation, and data analysis
- Strong knowledge of Power BI, including the creation of interactive reports and dashboards
- Solid programming skills in languages such as Python or R is a plus
- Experience with SQL, PowerShell, Python, and R for data manipulation and extraction
- An active DoD Secret Clearance
