[Remote] Database Administrator / SQL Developer - Consultant

They are seeking experienced Database Administrators and SQL Developers to support enterprise database administration and modernization initiatives across multiple state agencies.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain SQL Server databases
- Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning recommendations
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions
- Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning
- Support database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams
- Troubleshoot database-related production issues
- Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with enterprise standards
Skills
- 5+ years of SQL Server Database Administration
- 5+ years of SQL Development (T-SQL)
- Database Performance Tuning
- Backup and Recovery
- Stored Procedures, Views, Triggers, Functions
- Database Security
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Candidate must be a current South Carolina resident
- Azure SQL
- SSIS / SSRS / SSAS
- Oracle or PostgreSQL
- Government/Public Sector experience
- Microsoft SQL certifications
