[Remote] Engineering Intern
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern to join their team in Huntsville, AL. The intern will support digital engineering and analytics initiatives, focusing on Model-Based Systems Engineering and development tasks related to Power BI and Power Apps.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, refining, and maintaining SysML‑based models
- Contributing to analytical digital threads
- Supporting engineering workflow integration efforts
- Work closely with senior MBSE staff to help ensure model consistency
- Perform updates
- Explore opportunities to streamline system-of-systems modeling activities
- Support Power BI and Power Apps development tasks
- Creating dashboards
- Cleaning and transforming datasets
- Building automated workflows
- Helping to design low‑code applications that improve operational efficiency
Skills
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in STEM field
- Comfortable supporting multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with help from experienced team members
- Must possess communication skills for interacting with other engineers/analysts and customers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive self‑starter with a willingness to take initiative
