[Remote] Finance Director

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is representing a non-profit organization seeking a Finance Director to oversee financial planning and strategic initiatives. This role involves partnering with executive leadership to enhance financial operations and drive improvements through data and technology.
Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and reporting processes
- Develop key financial metrics and dashboards to support strategic decision-making
- Drive business transformation initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency
- Oversee budget, procurement, and business intelligence functions while mentoring a team of finance leaders
- Partner cross-functionally with leaders across the organization to support strategic and financial objectives
- Prepare executive-level financial analyses, presentations, and recommendations
- Identify opportunities to optimize costs, improve resource allocation, and strengthen financial performance
- Lead or participate in special projects and other strategic initiatives
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or related
- 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, preferably within non-profit or higher education
- Strong background in budgeting, financial planning & analysis, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic finance
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems aptitude
- Exceptional communication, analytical, leadership, and project management skills
- CPA preferred
