[Remote] Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Russell Tobin is seeking an FP&A Specialist to support a growing Finance organization undergoing a major transformation initiative. The role involves building scalable financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, while driving strategic decision-making within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and enhancement of the FP&A function as part of a broader finance transformation initiative
- Assist in building scalable budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial planning processes
- Load budgets and financial data into reporting platforms and support monthly reporting activities
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights into business performance
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, operational planning, and strategic decision-making
- Strengthen forecasting processes across revenue, operating expenses, headcount, and compensation planning
- Create and maintain KPI dashboards and executive reporting packages
- Identify business trends, risks, and opportunities through financial analysis
- Support financial systems optimization and reporting tool enhancements
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and financial discipline
- Assist in establishing standardized processes, controls, and documentation as the finance organization scales
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, or a related analytical role
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
- Experience supporting financial planning and reporting processes in a dynamic environment
- Strong communication and business partnering skills
- Experience helping build or transform FP&A functions within growing organizations
- Experience with financial planning and reporting platforms such as Vena
- Familiarity with CRM and business systems such as HubSpot
- Experience implementing or optimizing financial systems and reporting tools
- Interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to improve forecasting and reporting
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
