[Remote] Frontend Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sphere Labs is building modern, compliance-native infrastructure for cross-border payments and settlement. The Frontend Engineer will design and develop user interfaces for diverse audiences, create reusable components, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to enhance customer interactions with financial solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with our existing Frontend team to build a series of reusable components and design features
  • Design and develop for multiple audiences in a way that resonates with their unique needs
  • Analyze user behavior and engagement metrics to develop optimized flows
  • Work with your peers in the Product and Engineering teams to take key features live and define the way that our customers interact with our financial solutions
  • Write high-quality code with an emphasis on reusability, reliability, and ease of use
  • Create and maintain technical documents including flow diagrams, development / testing documentation, and implementation guides to advise other teams on how to interact with your work
  • Work directly with product owners, end users, and clients to get feedback on your solutions before they go live

Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus; alternatively an extensive history of independent code development
  • Proven experience as a frontend engineer, with a minimum of 6 years of experience
  • Experience working with multiple teams distilling requirements and testing with stakeholders before taking features live
  • Proficiency in common web technologies and either a proficiency with or a willingness to learn: TypeScript, NextJS, Tailwind CSS, React, Figma
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience within payments, crypto, fintech, and BaaS are plus but are not required
