[Remote] Frontend Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ASSA ABLOY Group is launching a new greenfield product and is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to design and build modern, user-focused web applications. This role involves applying frontend best practices and collaborating with a full-stack team to deliver high-quality user experiences from MVP to production.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular 17+ (preferred), TypeScript, RxJS and component-driven frontend architecture
- Translate UX designs and product requirements into responsive, accessible, and maintainable user interfaces
- Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and data services
- Collaborate with backend teams to define API contracts and data flows
- Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, including state management and component design
- Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for performance, security, and reliability
- Support the transition of MVPs and prototypes into production‑ready frontend applications
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation
- Continuously improve UI performance, usability, and maintainability
Skills
- 3+ years of professional frontend software development experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript
- Experience with Angular or similar frontend frameworks
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
- Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs
- Proven experience supporting a product from MVP or prototype through production release
- Strong attention to UI quality, usability, and performance
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional product teams
- Experience working in enterprise development environments
- Familiarity with modern frontend build tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to design systems or component libraries
- Experience with data‑driven or ML‑enabled user interfaces
- Backend familiarity (Node.js or API design concepts)
