[Remote] Head of Social Media

The Head of Social Media will oversee the company's social media strategy and presence, enhancing brand visibility and audience engagement across various platforms.
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing a comprehensive, platform-specific social media strategy aligned with The Block's overall business objectives
- Leading a team of social media specialists to create, curate, and manage engaging content, such as text posts, graphics, videos, and reels, while ensuring consistent quality and brand messaging
- Monitoring audience interactions, responding to comments, and fostering community engagement to build loyalty among readers, industry professionals, and enthusiasts
- Planning and implementing social media campaigns, including budget management, ad creation, and optimization, to amplify reach and drive targeted traffic to The Block's website
- Collaborating with editorial, multimedia, and sales teams to integrate social media efforts with content production, partnered content, and reputation management
- Analyzing performance data to refine strategies, identify trends in the cryptocurrency space, and mitigate risks such as reputational issues associated with misguided social content
- Staying abreast of platform algorithms, emerging trends, and best practices in social media for news and media organizations, particularly in fast-paced sectors
