The Lead, Advanced Analytics, Services role involves analyzing supply and demand for Airbnb’s new Services business, focusing on data analysis, metric definition, and providing insights to support strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced data analysis to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across key geographical markets
- Collaborate closely with the new business teams, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions
- Analyze broad data to understand the key drivers of bookings, attach rate, revenue, profitability, occupancy, rebooking rate, churn, and other key metrics
- Define new metrics and identify leading indicators of key business outcomes
- Build dashboards to track key performance metrics across markets and customer segments to establish benchmarks
- Conduct A/B tests to improve business performance and maximize incrementality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Strategic Finance, Data and Analytical Engineering, and Data Science, to align strategies and leverage synergies
Skills
- A quantitative undergraduate degree with a strong preference for candidates holding an MBA or equivalent advanced degree, with 8+ years of industry experience in a Data Science, Analytics, or equivalent role
- Prior experience in advanced analytics or business data science within a marketplace or business strategy setting
- Deep technical expertise in data analysis, experimentation and causal inference, and experience in applying these skills to derive insights from broad data sets
- Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders and conveying complex concepts in an accessible manner
- Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across functions
- An agile, growth-minded approach, demonstrated through a history of driving projects from ideation to impact
