[Remote] Legal Paid Consultant - E-Billing, Legal Spend, Vendor & Knowledge Management
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. LinkedIn is seeking experienced legal operations, e-billing, spend analytics, and legal technology professionals to provide expert insight as part of a project for their AI Marketplace. The role involves completing a recorded AI-led video interview to explain real-world workflows and decision-making processes in legal operations.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing invoices against billing guidelines, rates, staffing rules, block billing, expenses, appeals, approvals, and payment routing
- Building spend reports and dashboards by firm, matter type, business unit, savings, budget, forecast, and actuals
- Managing vendor and legal-tech evaluation, security/procurement review, implementation, adoption, renewals, and value measurement
- Maintaining playbooks, templates, matter taxonomies, knowledge repositories, data quality, and reporting trustworthiness
- Explaining workflows specifically within: invoice review, e-billing, legal spend analytics, reporting, vendor/legal-tech lifecycle, and legal knowledge management workflows
Skills
- 6+ years in e-billing, legal spend analytics, legal operations, legal technology, vendor management, or legal knowledge management
- Direct, hands-on experience in invoice review, e-billing, legal spend analytics, reporting, vendor/legal-tech lifecycle, and legal knowledge management workflows
- Experience making or influencing decisions related to billing guideline enforcement, appeal handling, approval routing, savings methodology, metric definitions, vendor selection, KM governance, tool adoption, and stale-content remediation
- Familiarity with tools such as: Legal Tracker, Brightflag, SimpleLegal, TeamConnect, Onit, Coupa, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SharePoint, Confluence, ServiceNow Legal
- Strong ability to clearly explain workflows, decisions, and reasoning
- Experience owning or directly executing these workflows in a real production environment
- Experience working cross-functionally with legal, business, finance, compliance, security, procurement, product, engineering, or outside counsel stakeholders as relevant to the workflow
