[Remote] Mechanical Project Engineer - Power Generation
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their team. This role will lead the engineering execution of projects during the Order-to-Remittance phase, focusing on Balance of Plant scope within power generation projects, managing engineering teams and ensuring project alignment with customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering scope, schedules, and execution for BOP projects
- Provide technical direction to Product Engineering, Project Management, Sourcing, and subcontractors
- Review customer requirements and ensure accurate flow‑down to all engineering teams
- Manage risks, scope changes, and cross‑functional engineering alignment across GT/ST/Gen/BOP
- Support field, vendor, and installation teams to ensure quality and compliance
- Enforce engineering quality processes and capture Lessons Learned
Skills
- Bachelor's degree (Engineering or related STEM)
- 5+ years relevant industry experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer-facing skills
- Proven ability to lead complex programs/projects
- Creative problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of mechanical/electrical codes, turbomachinery, generators, controls, or plant auxiliary systems
- Expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering
