[Remote] Network Cloud Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a remote Network Cloud Engineer to join a Federal Program. This role focuses on supporting a large-scale enterprise cloud modernization initiative by designing and managing cloud network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support cloud network infrastructure across platforms such as Azure, OCI, and GCP
- Manage and configure networking components including firewalls, VPNs, routers, virtual networks, Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), and more
- Monitor network performance, ensure system availability, and perform capacity planning and optimization
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including IAM and secure network configurations
- Provide Tier II/III troubleshooting and support for network-related incidents and infrastructure issues
Skills
- Bachelors Degree and 7 years of experience OR Masters Degree and 4 years of experience
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, OCI, GCP) and EKS Cluster
- Experience with AWS Security Group deployment using Terraform
- Proficiency with networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, TFTP, DHCP, SSL, and NAT)
- Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls, SDN, and virtual networking concepts
- Knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management
- Ability to participate in 24/7 on call rotation
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Public Trust Clearance
