[Remote] Platform Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Quarry Consulting is seeking a DevSecOps Platform Engineer to support enterprise delivery teams. The role involves extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in platform engineering and DevSecOps, with a focus on automation and infrastructure-as-code.
Responsibilities
- 8–15 years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in Platform Engineering or DevSecOps supporting enterprise delivery teams
- Expert experience with GitHub Enterprise and/or Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- 4+ years developing reusable Terraform and/or Bicep infrastructure-as-code modules
- Experience building developer portals using Backstage, Port, or custom APIs
- Strong knowledge of platform engineering, DevSecOps, automation, and enterprise software delivery
Skills
- 8–15 years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in Platform Engineering or DevSecOps supporting enterprise delivery teams
- Expert experience with GitHub Enterprise and/or Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- 4+ years developing reusable Terraform and/or Bicep infrastructure-as-code modules
- Experience building developer portals using Backstage, Port, or custom APIs
- Strong knowledge of platform engineering, DevSecOps, automation, and enterprise software delivery
- Created reusable DevSecOps templates and automation frameworks
- Implemented automated security controls, policy-as-code, and compliance within CI/CD pipelines
- Built platform infrastructure using Azure, Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, Terraform, and Bicep
- Implemented enterprise package management solutions (e.g., Azure Artifacts, GitHub Packages, Artifactory, Nexus)
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools in a governed DevSecOps environment
- Influenced engineering teams to adopt DevSecOps best practices and platform standards
- Strong stakeholder communication and experience improving developer productivity through automation and self-service platforms
