[Remote] Principal Consultant

They are seeking a Principal Consultant to lead enterprise planning and finance transformation initiatives, partnering with executive stakeholders to enhance business execution and improve planning processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead current-state assessment of enterprise planning, FP&A, AOP, funding governance, and financial management processes
- Map end-to-end funding flows and identify bottlenecks impacting technology and business delivery
- Design future-state enterprise planning and finance operating models aligned with business strategy
- Analyze planning, budgeting, forecasting, investment governance, and capacity planning processes
- Facilitate executive workshops and stakeholder interviews to align business, finance, and technology leadership
- Develop governance frameworks, decision-rights models, and funding mechanisms
- Recommend improvements to planning cadence, portfolio prioritization, and financial governance
- Translate findings into executive-ready presentations, roadmaps, and transformation recommendations
- Partner with transformation, PMO, architecture, and change management teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Mentor junior consultants and provide thought leadership on finance transformation
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Finance Transformation, Enterprise Planning, FP&A, or Strategy Consulting
- Deep expertise in Annual Operating Planning (AOP), budgeting, forecasting, funding governance, and capacity planning
- Experience designing Target Operating Models and finance operating models
- Strong understanding of portfolio management, business case development, and investment governance
- Executive stakeholder management and workshop facilitation experience
- Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA/CPA/CFA preferred
- Management consulting background (Big 4 or leading consulting firm)
- Experience supporting enterprise technology transformation programs
- Knowledge of ERP/EPM platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or similar
- Experience working with global enterprises and cross-functional executive teams
