[Remote] Product Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Runway is building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science. They are seeking a Product Engineer to help develop cutting-edge, AI-powered video creation and collaboration tools, focusing on both frontend and backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Create rich multimedia interfaces using the cutting edge of the latest AI video generation models Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2.0
- Build end-to-end full-stack AI-powered product features — designing and developing both frontend experiences and backend systems, including authoring server-side processes and APIs that power our generative AI tools
- Design and implement LLM-powered features and conversational interfaces
- Partner with a world-class engineering team pushing the boundaries of creativity and content creation on the browser
- Take on new challenges across the Frontend stack to implement product features for Runway’s machine learning based generative AI tools
- Improve the performance, reliability, and code quality of our codebases
Skills
- 3+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role, ideally full-stack focused
- Demonstrated fluency of one or more programming languages, including but not limited to JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience building with third-party AI APIs (e.g., chatbots, LLM integrations)
- Experience in architecting production-ready systems and familiarity with debugging and profiling tools
- Ability to rapidly prototype solutions and iterate on them with tight product deadlines
