[Remote] Project Designer III (Security)

The Project Designer role involves designing, engineering, and documenting installed solutions while ensuring compliance with project requirements and communicating effectively with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer and document installed solutions with moderate to high complexity according to project requirements
- Proactively communicate with colleagues, vendors, consultants and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
- Identify cost effective solutions that meet customer requirements within the project schedule
- Reviews scope, defined product specification, application and electrical requirements for code compliance and AHJ Requirements
- Work assignments are varied, and of moderate to high scope and complexity
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
Skills
- Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
- Strong AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Customer Focus – Maintaining awareness of and seeking to meet of the needs and wants of the customer
- Initiative – Engages in proactive behavior and looks for opportunities of improvement
- Analytical Thinking – Logically breaks down problems and looks for solutions
- 5+ years design/engineering, field service or project management
- Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or healthcare
