[Remote] Project Portfolio Manager, EHR - Remote

Community Health Systems is one of the nation's leading healthcare providers, and they are seeking a Project Portfolio Manager for their EHR initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing multi-project initiatives, aligning stakeholders, and managing program-level risks to deliver transformative business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversees multiple interrelated projects as a unified program with strategic business value
- Chairs steering committees and communicates effectively with executive stakeholders
- Drives cross-project dependency alignment, resource planning, and timeline negotiation
- Mentors and advises project managers on delivery methods and execution challenges
- Manages program-level budgets, KPIs, and benefits tracking
- Leads vendor negotiations and external partner collaboration
- Represents the program in strategic planning discussions and governance reviews
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance
- Complies with all policies and standards
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related required
- 5-7 years of experience in project and/or program management required
- Expert in PPM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira) required
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI or obtained within six (6) months of employment required
- 10 + years of healthcare IT experience highly preferred
- 3 + years of program management experience highly preferred
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) implementations highly preferred
