[Remote] Proposal Writer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Embrace Software Inc is seeking an experienced Proposal Writer. The Proposal Writer is responsible for writing winning proposals that lead to increased sales by portraying the company's software suite and integration teams favorably in proposal responses for customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop substantive and persuasive responses to unique or challenging proposal questions while operating within specified deadlines
- Experience in the use of Responsive (formerly RFPIO) for proposal management
- Continually maintain and update responses to standardized inquiries utilizing RFP database (Responsive)
- Manage strong working relationships with company designated Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure proposal input is accurate
- Maintains up-to-date product knowledge expertise across all offerings
- Consistently updates core proposal content with latest messaging and positioning
- Devises new and improved processes to more effectively expedite proposals
- Works outside of the job description when needed to accomplish the company’s mission
- Provide examples of written work (or links to same) appropriate to this job-description
Skills
- Minimum 3 years of marketing/proposal writing experience or Technical Writing with experience in Sales/Marketing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the use of Responsive (formerly RFPIO) tool for developing proposals and maintaining library
- Experience in writing, editing, and producing highly effective sales proposals
- Significant experience in drafting and completing official RFP/RFI responses
- Experience articulating company vision and positioning throughout sales documentation
- Creative problem solver with ability to work independently
- Experience working in entrepreneurial environment
- Focused, results-driven temperament
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills
- Ability to work across organizational functional boundaries
- People and team oriented with clear ability to support same
- Strong customer service philosophy
- Specific experience in Technology or Software industries is highly desired
