[Remote] Quality Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. NR Consulting is seeking a Quality Analyst with a strong focus on software quality assurance and test automation. The role involves executing test cases, modifying existing tests for new environments, and supporting user acceptance testing and production cutovers.
Responsibilities
- Execute client-provided test cases (functional - UI, API and Database Testing, and performance) using the tools and frameworks provided by the client
- Modify and update existing test cases to support applications deployed on the new GCP environment
- Support the client with functional and validation testing for applications upgraded from .NET Framework to .NET 8
- Collect agreed-upon performance metrics/KPIs and support the performance tuning of the environment during the engagement
- Collaborate with the Client to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and defect resolution, including daily review sessions during critical phases
- Provide engineering support during production cutovers, including deployment troubleshooting, performance validation, and verifying bug fixes
- Coordinate with the Client and Google Product Support teams to troubleshoot GCP service-related issues
Skills
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation and full-stack testing (UI, API, and Database)
- Experience testing .NET applications (specifically moving from Framework to .NET 8) with a strong focus on full-stack validation (UI, API, and Database)
- Experience with tools like Selenium (with C# or Java) & Cucumber BDD framework with JavaScript
- Proficiency in tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI for API testing
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and verification
- Ability to develop, modify and execute automated test scripts (Unit, Functional, and Performance) to support a 'wave-based' migration approach
- Experience testing applications hosted on public cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred, but Azure/AWS experience is also acceptable)
- Ability to use performance testing tools to gather metrics and identify bottlenecks
- DevOps Integration: Experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps pipelines or similar CI/CD workflows
- Disaster Recovery (DR) Testing: Knowledge of DR concepts and experience supporting DR validation exercises (e.g., failover testing)
- Security awareness: Familiarity with security penetration testing support and SecArch documentation processes
- Containerization: Familiarity with testing applications running on Kubernetes (GKE) or containers
- Infrastructure Awareness: Understanding of Windows-to-Linux platform changes or VM-based migrations
