[Remote] Quality Engineer 2
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cypress HCM is seeking a Quality Engineer 2 who will focus on software test automation and quality assurance for validating web-based applications. The role involves designing and maintaining test cases, collaborating with developers, and improving testing methodologies in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases
- Develop and maintain test specifications, test scripts, and automation frameworks
- Validate software functionality throughout the development lifecycle
- Work closely with developers to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with distributed teams
- Troubleshoot product issues and perform root cause analysis
- Interpret functional and technical specifications to ensure complete test coverage
- Utilize testing tools to improve product quality and efficiency
- Continuously improve automation processes and testing methodologies
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2 to 5 years of Quality Assurance or Software Test Automation experience
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, test lifecycle, and defect lifecycle
- Experience developing automated testing frameworks
- Experience testing web-based applications
- Programming or scripting experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, ActionScript, HTML, Perl, or Shell scripting
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
