[Remote] Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to architect and scale enterprise cloud platforms, ensuring security and compliance while empowering engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Architect Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure: Design, implement, and govern secure, highly available multi-account/multi-subscription public cloud landing zones across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Establish modular, scalable, and policy-driven infrastructure using Terraform/Terraform Cloud, managing GitOps workflows and complex state management strategies
- Modernize CI/CD & Delivery: Build out enterprise-scale deployment pipelines via GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Harness, utilizing advanced progressive delivery models (Blue/Green, Canary)
- Govern Container & Service Mesh Architecture: Oversee high-performance managed Kubernetes ecosystems (EKS, AKS, GKE) and build modern, zero-trust cloud networking architectures utilizing Istio or Consul for mTLS, traffic management, and ingress/egress control
- Enforce Security-First Engineering: Architect automated compliance controls, identity federation (OIDC/SAML), and enterprise secrets management utilizing HashiCorp Vault, AWS IAM, or Azure Entra ID
- Champion Observability & Reliability: Build out centralized logging, metrics collection, and distributed tracing architectures using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Splunk to maximize platform reliability
- Develop Automation Tooling: Write production-ready automation scripts and platform tools using Python, Go, or Bash to enable seamless developer self-service enablement
- Lead Data & Application Integration: Provide reference architectures for modern cloud data platforms, microservices, and Kafka-based event-driven streaming solutions
- Technical Leadership & Strategy: Define company-wide engineering standards, lead architecture reviews, mentor mid-to-senior engineers, and communicate technical roadmaps clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
Skills
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Architecture, Platform Engineering, or DevOps at an enterprise scale
- Expert-level capability with at least one major public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and advanced architecture design using declarative, modular Terraform
- Deep, production-tested understanding of Kubernetes cluster operations, container security, and cloud-native networking patterns
- Strong background in building end-to-end software supply chains, secure CI/CD platforms, and custom automation scripting (Python/Go)
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional / AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert / Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
- Google Professional Cloud Architect
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) / Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
