[Remote] Senior Hoan Systems Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Kforce Inc is seeking a Senior Hoan Systems Engineer with expert-level proficiency in Hogan modules to join their client in NYC. The role involves leading technical teams, performing code reviews, and mentoring junior developers while ensuring the successful implementation and support of Hogan applications in a financial operations context.
Responsibilities
- Skilled in COBOL, JCL, Easytrieve, and REXX programming within the Hogan core banking environment
- Expert in at least two Hogan modules (ILP, IDS, CIS, ODS, FSS, etc.)
- Deep understanding of financial operations: deposits, loans, payments, ACH/wire, ATM/debit, credit cards, collections, GL reconciliation
- Experience with API integration, batch processing, and VSAM
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of financial institution operations, including deposit and loan processing, monetary transactions, ACH/wire transfers, ATM/debit card activity, credit card operations, delinquency/collections, payments, and general ledger reconciliation
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers
- Strong background in production support, issue resolution, API integration, and SDLC best practices
- Proficient in leveraging AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Hogan Applications Development/IT Delivery Projects
- 7+ years of experience in Hogan Architecture design, implementation, and support
- Expert in at least two Hogan modules (ILP, IDS, CIS, ODS, FSS, etc.)
- Advanced experience with COBOL, JCL, Easytrieve, REXX; Assembler a plus
- Deep understanding of financial operations: deposits, loans, payments, ACH/wire, ATM/debit, credit cards, collections, GL reconciliation
- Experience with API integration, batch processing, and VSAM
- Proficient in AI-assisted development tools for code, review, and automation
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of financial institution operations, including deposit and loan processing, monetary transactions, ACH/wire transfers, ATM/debit card activity, credit card operations, delinquency/collections, payments, and general ledger reconciliation
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers
- Strong background in production support, issue resolution, API integration, and SDLC best practices
- Proficient in leveraging AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality
- 8+ years with large-scale, high-transaction, high-availability software implementations
- Experience with Hogan upgrades and integrating AI tools into the SDLC
