[Remote] Senior Lead Cloud Engineer

The Senior Lead Cloud Engineer position plays a critical role in delivering expert technical direction for complex systems and ensuring the implementation of technical solutions across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide visibility into cloud costs
- Establish and enforce tagging standards and cost allocation policies. Ensure all resources are tagged every month
- Automate cost management tasks and integrate FinOps tools into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
- Define and document best practices and support procedures
- 24 X 7 X 365 cost monitoring
- Mentor / cross-train team members on existing and new technologies
- Generate automating reporting, define and implement policies related to cost optimization
- Carry out special tasks at Management's direction
- RBAC/ ABAC access based access control and IAM privilege management
Skills
- 5 years of overall experience and 2 years as FinOps engineer
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and pricing models
- Deep understanding of cloud native cost management tools and Flexera One Cloud Cost Optimization
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- FinOps Certified Engineer or similar certification
- Experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering roles
- May travel for 1-2 times/year for workshops
