[Remote] Senior Software Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Insight Global is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for one of their retail clients in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you'll work as part of a cross-functional agile team focused on building and maintaining customer-facing applications, creating reusable components, and mentoring other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Work as a member of a cross functional agile team focused on building and maintaining customer-facing applications
- Create reusable components that are shared across many application
- Work with other team members to cross-pollinate ideas and skills
- Find, monitor, and address performance issues
- Take features from conception to final production deployment
- Contribute heavily to user story definition that takes our technology stack into consideration
- Continue to push the bounds of what is possible
- Work in a highly collaborative environment
- Mentor other engineers
- Working on full stack development with customer facing product but all working on the back end as well
Skills
- 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, primarily using React and Node
- Experience or proven ability to work in a fast paced, Enterprise to mid-size environment
- Ability to pick up any technology and be adaptable to different situations
- Proven experience in developing and creating secure, resilient, maintainable applications
