[Remote] Software Engineer

They are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of a modernization framework and enhance existing business applications, ideal for a developer with foundational Java knowledge eager to learn modern practices and cloud concepts.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining Java-based components within the modernization framework
- Support refactoring efforts for legacy components under senior developer guidance
- Participate in implementing APIs, integrations, and backend services
- Write clean, maintainable code following defined coding standards
- Assist in documenting technical requirements, system behaviors, and application architecture updates
- Perform basic unit testing and assist with debugging activities
- Collaborate with mid-level and senior developers during design sessions and sprint ceremonies
Skills
- 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with HS diploma
- Must have active Public Trust clearance
- Must have Security+ certification
- Must have hands-on experience developing Java EE applications on WebLogic Application Server
- High-level knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems
- Experience with AI development
- Cloud development experience
