[Remote] Staff Software Development Engineer (AI Engineer, Frontend)

They are seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture and development of their Platform Chat product, focusing on building next-generation conversational AI experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable, real-time chat and multi-agent AI systems
- Develop agent frameworks, orchestration layers, and workflow automation
- Integrate LLM APIs and enterprise tools
- Drive architecture, coding standards, and best practices
- Build systems for observability, safety, and performance monitoring
- Mentor engineers and contribute to AI/agentic design patterns
Skills
- 8+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years building AI/LLM-based systems
- Strong skills in Python or Node.js (TypeScript)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Expertise in distributed systems, APIs, and real-time messaging
- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks, RAG, and LLM integrations
- Experience building custom AI/agent platforms
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, GraphQL, or event-driven systems
- Background in ML systems or AI research
