[Remote] Technical Project Manager

Motion Recruitment is seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure & Cloud Project Manager to lead high-visibility service-level initiatives focused on enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cloud, and data platforms. The role involves partnering with technical and business stakeholders to drive critical workstreams, ensure alignment across teams, and manage complex initiatives independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage technical service-level projects involving infrastructure, architecture, cloud, and data platforms
- Drive project execution from planning through delivery, ensuring milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues are proactively managed
- Partner with cloud architects, infrastructure teams, data engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders to align priorities and deliver outcomes
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and stakeholder reviews
- Manage project backlogs, Kanban boards, and work tracking within Azure DevOps
- Coordinate and oversee cloud and data initiatives, including migration, modernization, and operational improvement efforts
- Identify and remove project roadblocks while managing dependencies across multiple teams
- Provide regular executive-level status updates, risk assessments, and recommendations
- Establish governance, processes, and accountability in environments with varying levels of project maturity
- Support vendor management activities, including coordination, tracking, and delivery oversight
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism while managing sensitive business and technology initiatives
Skills
- 7+ years of Project Management experience leading technical infrastructure, cloud, architecture, or enterprise technology initiatives
- Strong experience managing projects within AWS and cloud-based environments
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including backlog management, sprint planning, and Kanban boards
- Proven experience delivering data and cloud transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, architecture, cloud services, and technical delivery methodologies
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, and Kanban frameworks
- Ability to understand technical work efforts and effectively translate them into actionable project plans
- Strong risk management, dependency management, and issue resolution skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Data platform, analytics, business intelligence, or cloud migration initiatives
- Vendor management and third-party delivery coordination
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure modernization programs
- Exposure to hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery environments
