[Remote] Trading Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Goliath Partners is a leading hedge fund with a strong focus on their commodities team. They are seeking a Power Analyst to work closely with senior traders, analyzing various market fundamentals and dynamics within ERCOT.
Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate market views and trade ideas
- Analyze congestion, basis and nodal pricing dynamics
- Monitor weather, load, generation and transmission developments
- Support futures, options and physical power trading activities
- Build analytical tools and market intelligence to support trading decisions
Skills
- 2-8 years of experience within ERCOT power markets
- Understanding of power market fundamentals, congestion and transmission
- Experience within trading, market analysis, forecasting, research or commercial analytics
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Python, SQL or power market modeling experience is advantageous
