[Remote] Voice AI Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. IntagHire is seeking a highly hands-on AI Engineer specializing in Voice AI and agentic AI systems. The role involves designing, building, and scaling intelligent conversational systems integrated with enterprise platforms, focusing on real-time voice AI experiences and multi-agent orchestration. The engineer will work closely with product and engineering teams to develop scalable AI pipelines and optimize conversational systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and build Voice AI systems for real-time conversational experiences
- Develop and manage multi-agent AI systems and autonomous AI workflows
- Build, orchestrate, and optimize AI agents for complex business use cases
- Engineer scalable AI pipelines using Python and modern AI/data frameworks
- Design advanced prompts, prompt chains, and context management strategies
- Integrate STT and TTS vendors into production systems
- Integrate Voice AI systems with SIP servers, PBX systems, and telephony infrastructure
- Optimize conversational latency, reliability, accuracy, and call quality
- Continuously evaluate emerging AI models, frameworks, and tooling
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience building production-grade Voice AI systems
- Experience building multi-agent or agentic AI systems
- Working knowledge of AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and tool-calling architectures
- Strong Python expertise with AI/ML/data mining frameworks
- Deep understanding of prompt engineering and LLM optimization
- Experience integrating with STT/TTS vendors such as Cartesia, Google Chirp, Amazon Polly, Deepgram, SoundHound, and ElevenLabs
- Familiarity with SIP server vendors and telephony platforms such as FreeSWITCH, Asterisk, Twilio, SignalWire, LiveKit, OpenSIPS, Kamailio, Genesys Cloud, Amazon Connect, Cisco Unified Communications, Avaya, 3CX, RingCentral, Five9, NICE CXone, Vonage, Telnyx, Plivo, Bandwidth, and Sinch
- Experience working with SIP, RTP, WebRTC, streaming audio pipelines, and real-time event-driven systems
- Strong problem-solving and system design skills
- Experience fine-tuning models for specific business domains or proprietary datasets
- MCP (Model Context Protocol) experience and understanding of MCP frameworks
- Experience integrating MCP concepts into existing enterprise systems
- Experience with vector databases, RAG pipelines, and memory systems
- Experience deploying AI systems at scale in cloud environments
