Key Responsibilities

• Management Reporting & Business Insights: Lead the development of self-service analytical reports and interactive dashboards in Power BI/SSRS, providing executives and senior management with real-time business insights. Maintain decision-support solutions (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive analytics) to help inform strategy and business planning.
• Fraud Analysis & Risk Management: Conduct daily fraud reviews and provide analytical support for fraud investigations, helping mitigate risks by identifying and addressing fraud patterns.

Collaborate with business units on inquiries related to fraud cases, helping to drive resolutions.

• KPI Reporting & Executive Prep: Support the development of management KPI reports and collaborate on preparation for executive meetings, ensuring accurate and actionable insights are presented.
• Data Model Evaluation & Machine Learning: Collaborate with product and underwriting teams to continuously improve machine learning models using statistical methods, segmentation, and deep learning. Participate in the evaluation and optimization of new and existing data models, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.

Conduct data drift monitoring and address operational inconsistencies in automated models.

• Cross-Functional Support & Collaboration: Assist in vendor due diligence and understanding anticipated business volumes. Assist business units in acquiring a deep understanding of business problems, translating them into mathematical models, spreadsheets, and visualizations that inform decisions.
• Executive-Level Presentations & Stakeholder Engagement: Present complex data and insights to cross-functional leadership teams, helping to drive actionable steps that align with business strategy.

Facilitate integration of data science methodologies across a variety of business use cases, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.

• Fulfill Ad Hoc Business Analytic Requests: Adhere to internal support and project process standards, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Essential Qualifications and Skills
• Education: Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience: 10-20 years of relevant experience, preferably in business decision support roles, data science, or a related field, ideally within fintech or financial services.
• Technical Skills:
• Highly proficient in SQL and experience working with Power BI, SSRS, or similar tools to develop analytical reports and dashboards.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques such as Gradient Boosted Models, Clustering, etc., and experience with model evaluation and optimization.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform root cause analysis, hypothesis testing, and translate insights into business impact.
• Ability to work quickly with large data sets, identifying patterns, ensuring data integrity, and addressing anomalies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
• High initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications and Skills
• Experience: Experience working cross-functionally to solve complex business problems and generate data-driven recommendations.
• Technical Skills:
• Experience visualizing and presenting data both internally and externally, using Power BI and Excel.
